mChat loading blank page after sending message

Hi

I've edited all the files, double checked everything is correct in terms of before/after.
I can't find any other topics on this specific issue so here it goes,

After installing mChat, i can see it on the index page fine and all looks good, but when i go to send a test message it looks like it tries to send and then freezes, when refreshing the page everything goes blank - loads a blank page, (board index page and mchat.php) - i then have to navigate to mchat_install.php to uninstall it so that i can access my forums again - not sure whats happening

any suggestions / help would be great
