Mchat not refreshing

Hello, I am a long time user of mchat,.. Had it working fine however after install handymans ajax chat on the site athe mchat has stopped updating when a post is made. If I post it will go into the chatbox but anyone else veiwing the chatbox will not see the message until they refresh their page..

HAs anyone any ideas what might be causing this?

My mchat is set in permissions for moderator/ admin only. If anyone would like to take a look I will enable guest permissions..

Why would one possibly need two chat boxes?

And FWIW, I haven't a clue as to why it would do that.

We like to have an admin/ moderator box where we can chat away from everyone else without the need for msn. It really helps with site issues/ talk etc where we can discuss things without the general public seeing what we are saying

P.s, it is refreshing fine on its dedicated page but not on the index page

Then you probably have a js conflict.

You have to debug why you are getting that conflict.

Use firefox and install firebug...if there are js errors on the refresh it will tell you about them.

Ok, Installed it but have no idea what im doing with it

If I enable guest view would you mind taking a quick look m8 to see if you can spot the error?

also if your on chrome there is firebug too also jsERROR.

Thought il post this rich as alot of ppl have moved to chrome due to firefox updates
