need assistance with mchat for new forum!

hey im new to phpbb and mchat, after installing mchat i tried to navigate to it and the chat was on the page but it wont work. i think it is a prob with my theme. any input?

and you will need to activate the chat for guests if you are having problems or no one can see what is going on in your forum.

If you don't know what that error is then you need to ask your host. To enable the mod for guests you have to set the permissions for the guest account for the mod.

Go to ACP, select permissions from tabs at top, select Groups’ permissions from left side links, select Guests from dropdown list and click submit, click Advanced Permissions link, click mChat tab, set the radio button to 'Yes' for 'Can use mChat' and 'Can view mChat', click Apply permissions.

and y might the link for the minichat not showing up on the navigation bar yet before i added this theme it did?

Try refreshing your style from ACP.

i just did, i did it to the theme style and the template

You have to apply the edits to your styles files as the mod has you do for either prosilver or subsilver2 depending on which your style is based off of.

Which means you have not uploaded the mchat_body.html to /styles/KABU/template folder on your server.
