The only change I found (searching quickly in the BCC store because I have Snow Leopard) is the menubar which is a littlebit higher and coloured more nicely..The pity of the design is that it was old so fast..

No, the promise of Windows 7 was never to
look better then Vista. The promise of Windows 7 was that it would be Vista, but
usable.
The taskbar in a nutshell. If you didn't notice, the behaviors of the taskbar have changed. Programs aren't displayed as individual items with a title anymore, but they are displayed as big icons, and every window a program has open will be stacked on the program's icon in the taskbar. You can view these windows by
hovering over, or clicking on the icon and to actually go to the window itself, you click on it.(you'll find more of this on the microsoft website) Another improvement to the taskbar is "
Tasks". Never programs support it others mostly do not, however, it does speed up a lot of things. Regarding the colour, by default the taskbar colour is light blue, but it now takes on the same theme as the windows themselves. The system tray can now be customized to show only the icons and modifications you want.
Other visible improvements have also been made to the Config interface. UAC messages can now be set without much effort. Hardware management has improved, and even though I haven't been able to play around with it yet, the Homegroup sharing features are also a significant improvement on Vista.
So, it's similar to the Leopard/Snow Leopard upgrade, except for the fact that the old version sucked.
