I was wondering what are the requirements and what do i need to do so i can be able to run my own blog on my own host?

similar to phpBB u just need php and a database, .htaccess helps.

more then anything is the content that woudl be on your blog. you need to have some sort of interesting life or something to moan about. that's how my blog manages to keep on going :P

Most blogging platforms require the following:

Apache/mod_rewrite
PHP
MySQL
XML Support
HTTP Support
and various other things.
Life in the house :)
