I think phpBB Modders "Revolution" style would have looked sooooo much better in blue hehe. I was bored so I made this up, then copied the front page area so you could see what it looks like with text.

Every phpBB3 installation is blue by default. We're not running a standard phpBB installation here!

I have to disagree, David. I really dislike your recolor concept.. That widens the view, instead of enclosing it, which means your losing depth, and making it harder to focus on content.. Oh, and it looks like a freezing grape.

haha I didn't even use control u . I made up the main part from scratch, and then I copied some of the front page, and I used Replace Color to make it blue in instead of red background on the announcements...which just happened to make the RSS syndication images look like crap.

I was just playing around with you Semi_Deus. Oh, and by the way, this red is like the same blue that this red is red, if that made any sense...I just moved the washer thing from red to blue on the color picker until it looked good (and not purple)

I know you were playing around, I just gave my opinion
And about the ctrl u thing, the way you did it is almost the same, you used the easier way, like:
search and advanced search. You did: change color, ctrl u = advanced change color

And I know what you mean about the blue being the same as red. But that doesn't mean #990000 is just as good as #000099

hahaha true, true. In all honesty, I think that the blue, although I like it better now, is harder on your eyes, more "radical", and would get annoying for general use, not just looking at it.

I like the color scheme here. Blue is quite popular (I use it quite a bit myself) but it can be overused. This site looks great as far as the colors go.

I'm still a bit up in the air as to my opinion on the "flourish" in the header and those that appear in other places. This is a technical site, and the gear logo seems to work for that. The rest of the stuff is really nice, but doesn't seem to fit the site as much. It should be more... industrial or something.

One of the early concepts had lots and lots of flowers and it was green! It looked like a style for a gardening site! It looked great, no question, but it just didn't really fit the site. This may also be the case with the "curly stuff" in the ranks or the flowerish looking thing in the header, however i like it.
