I hate cross-posting, but looking at this might be a good idea :oops:

Started tonight with a clean snapshot of the public board, including database, then installed Alpha 2 as per the instructions. I then followed the instructions in the post at phpbb.com, logging in to the ACP and replacing the last part of the URL with "install".

All that got me this.
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Table 'forum.phpbb_trolls' doesn't exist [1146]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

I wish I could offer more feedback.

Craig.

Okay, I started again. Another copy of the live forum and a brand new copy of the database.

This time I managed to get the install to run properly. Seems I may have misread the instruction posted over at phpbb.com and hadn't retained the SID when replacing /adm/ with /install/ in the URL.

Now that I have it running, a quick test attempting to post a new topic under a troll'd username got me this error.
Fatal error: Declaration of troll_sleep::action() must be compatible with that of troll_action::action() in D:\xampplite\htdocs\phpbb3\includes\troll\troll_sleep.php on line 34

Hope that's a little more helpful than my previous posts.

Craig.

Hi, i'm installed this mod on a fresh phpBB3 3.0.5 and the installation went smooth, no errors at all.
But i'm installed on updated phpBB3 from 3.0.4 to 3.0.5 and i'm get the fallowing error:
troll.jpg

Any idea how to solve it??

It's an alpha. You have to remove the TROLL constants from includes/constants.php.

Make sure constants_troll.php is not included twice.

Finally i found solution, don't know why this is happens, but i did following:
Open constants_troll.php and comment lines:

Code: Select all

//define('TROLLS_TABLE',            $table_prefix . 'trolls');
//define('TROLL_ACTIONS_TABLE',      $table_prefix . 'troll_actions');

Open constants.php and added these to lines and mod works fine, but during installation, installer asked me for eg. styles\prosilver\theme\install_main.html :?:
so i had to put these for files to my theme and after installation removed.
