Hello and thanks you for this mod.
Just a question, it works ok on email adress that try to register new account, but the second effect that i hope, is to block some users proxy (use by trolls on my forum) that have been ip adress blacklisted in stopforumspam for they stop hide them for trolling.
But after installing, a troll post with success a new message with ip adress 171.25.193.131 (blacklisted on stopforumspam)

why ?

Idea for the Creator.
For less ressource consommation, on the register or post page, instead to have the block page after enter all fields, i think it consum less ressourc to have blockpage when you click on register or post new message.
(i think to this beacause some bot try on my forum 200/300 times to connect and it made my server low)

The mod is designed for on input...only thing you would know is IP and I am not sure on how to block proxies. FWIW, I don't have any spammers on here (I also use the new registered users group).

So does this mod IF you choose to modify the core code of phpBB. Not sure if an extension can be made for 3.1 as I am not finding any hooks or events for ucp register.

For the record I didnt edit posting.php
only ucp register
Tested it with an email from stopforumspam and the register attempt was stopped.

I may be able to extend the ucp_register class. Will have to try to see.

Sort of odd that there is no default hook for core.user_register

phpBB 3.0.12 has about 188,000 lines of PHP code and presumably 3.1 has a lot more than that. But, there are currently only about 170 events. Seems there is still a long, long, way to go.

Any idea on how to make it work with the 3.1 contact admin feature?
Dont mind hacking the files.

I wonder why there isnt any capctha on this on default.

within phpbb/message/admin_form.php but I am currently trying to figure out how to extend it into the contact page as well as posting and registration.
