If you have noticed when on here and within the chat, if you are in a different tab window within the browser and a new chat is entered, the tab that has the chat open will change text from, eg "RMcGirr83 - phpBB3 Modifications" to "New Chat Message!".

If you want this also for your forum, take the attached zip file, unzip it and follow the instructions within the read_me_first.txt file. Make the changes to the files, upload to your forum and CTRL + F5 your browser as well as refresh the template in the ACP.

I have tested this on FF, IE and Chrome. I have not tested it on Opera nor Safari.

You must have version 1.3.5 installed for this add-on

Odd things happening here..

I have made only one edit over the past few days, the ONE being hiding user details.

Today I noticed live and localhost, the notify mChat was not working. I check all the edits and the js uploads and everything is fine, just the alert refuses to work.

Very Dumb question here Rich. Do you have any clues? If not, I'll play with it later & unintstall it and re-do it. It's a very simple add on.

Nope, no idea. It's working fine on here and I have no "magic" that I haven't given to everyone.

Odd. I'll play around and figure it out. I didn't think you'd know. Heck, if everything is correct and in place hmmmmm.... I'll get it figured out and let you know what it was/is.

Sorry for dupe post - - Another odd thing...last night, the reply and new post features were not working. It stopped going bold and did not work...today they are working....So, it could be something in database. I'll run the install script again and see if something is missing. Don't know how it could happen, but it could I guess.

I updated from 1.3.4 to 1.3.5 and had 0 problems i also went and added this Chat Alert Message and had 0 problems, thank you so much for making an amazing add-on.
