Place users in chat header

I've edited my header to include number of users in chat.
The only place it shows up though is on the index page, viewforum, viewtopic etc. doesnt display my edit next to the Mini Chat icon like on index.
Is there something else I need to edit?

It is only done on the index page because that is where the code is that allows you to do that.

Edit includes/functions.php within the page_header function....where the other edits the mod has you make are.

(I removed the functions edits like you said to do for the hook, don't know how I missed that)
