Howdy;

I was wondering is there a way to be able to post videos (youtube, google video...) in the chat like a photo?

In chats video links get thrown up every once in a while and it'd be nice to just have the video there instead of heading elsewhere and missing out on a little bit of the conversation.

If you have a youtube bbcode installed on your forum, you can use it in the chat.

I have the video bbcode mod installed in the forum and when I post a link with the [video] tag it kicks everyone out of chat and sends them to that youtube page. If they hit back then it shows the video in chat. The pain is when it sends everyone out of chat.

Any idea how to fix this?

That mod uses javascript to insert the video using an iframe. It will not work within the chat.

I do believe that [url=http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=2017165]this one[/url] will work though. You would have to include the check for it within the mchat.php file.

Since the creator of the mod you suggested has been banned and his mod labeled abandon, is there another mod you would recommend so that people can post video in mchat?
