Have fun. I went a few years back but oddly enough have no desire to ever return. I fail to see what the big draw is.
Re: Las Vegas Nevada
I'll be there in July for a wedding. Been there once before and my experience was opposite as Rich's.. I loved that place.... Too much actually.
Re: Las Vegas Nevada
Wife and I used to go about 2-3 times a year years ago. We mainly went to find hidden secrets in the fine dining areas (one of the best kept secrets is a certain breakfast buffet in a major hotel).
We hit Reno one time. What a dive that was.
We are people watchers also, so it was fun for that.
Old Joke: Went to Vegas in a 75,000 Mercedes and came back in a 250,000 Greyhound Bus.
Have not been back for years though. It gets boring.

Monte Carlo has the best breakfast buffet of them all IMHO. Last time I was there they had chicken livers (which I love), sauteed in butter and simmered in a rich dark brown wine laced sauce, for omelets. I just ate two plates of livers. Their dinner buffet is quite good also.
Not many people talk about it much as they want to keep it to them self. The casino is "ok" but we stay there for their food and restaurants. Nice brewery in there too.
Their rooms have a bit to be desired but the service is great.

We are staying at the Flamingo this time around. I like staying near the center of the strip because of the overpass/walkways. I am a lazy SOB. Will have to hit the Monte for breakfast.
