What has phpBB done for you?
So phpBB i'm sure has affected most of us one way or another. So how has it affected you specefically:
Has it just provided you with a forum?
Has it made you new friends?
Made you learn something new?
Has it made you earn any money?
Has it done anything else?
For me personally it all started just as me wanting a form to connect with my friends. Eventually i made some new friends through my forum and got closer to ones i weren't very close to. It has also made me some friends through the support baords, mainly modders, such as igor, leroy, philip, ou all know who you are. I've also actually learnt HTML, php, CSS, SQL and some javascript mainly from when i started administrating my board and i wanted to add new cool stuff. Prior to phpBB i actually knew no programming (except some pascal and visulbasic). I've made a bit of money out of phpBB, through meeting some clients who wanted me to do work for them. Not a lot though less then $100 i'ld say, which also led to me buying an actual domain and setting up a site (even if it is just a blog ). well yeah. so phpBB has changed "me" a bit, and for the better i'ld say
