Include in Forum and Topic List

How would I include something after the first forum in the forum list and first topic in the topic list?
The same idea as that in the [url=http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/advertisements-in-phpbb3/]Advertisements in phpBB3[/url] article where pentapenguin shows you how to include an ad after the first or last post in the post list. Except I want to do that in the forum and topic lists.
Also, would there be a way to NOT do the include if there is only one forum, topic, or post in the list?
This would be for the Prosilver style.
