Anyther interresting topic.
Do you run forums, that use other forum systems, such as vBulletin, SMF, Invasion Power Board, ect?
Don't start a fight on why other software is better / sucks please.

side forum hosters in the old days, I have used small php scrips that have a semi forum system. A lot of them worked more like a guest book, or them old style forums.

I've admin'ed a couple of vBulletin forums, but the code is messy and "idiot proof".

I've used vB on several occasions, but currently am running on IPB.

Used a few Simple Machines forums (a newer form of YaBB SE). Nothing seems to compare to phpBB for ease of customization, though.

I myself don't run any non-phpbb forums at the moment, but i've been Admin at 2, and helped them out. Those were running vBulletin
