Well in case you were wondering about the 11 hour and 59 minute (+ about 16 hours) outage that happened today/yesterday, it was for our first birthday of phpBBModders Its funny to think that this time last year me and igor were setting up this forum, and now its escalating beyond what we expected.

Just a little run through of what happened today (all times are GMT):

12:00) Forum switches offline. Countdown starts
Sometime in the afternoon) Leroy is the first to see the countdown. Sets his personal message and leaves for G8.
20:00) I see the countdown. Set my message
21:30) I wonder where the hell Igor is! Wondering whether this will actually happen lol
22:00) Igor appears!
23:30) 30 minutes to go....we're still not ready!!!
23:59) We give up trying to hit the target
01:00) Me and igor take a nap

But anyway we thought we could use this topic for people to share what they like/enjoy about modders, what they think of our upgrade, what you think the future holds for modders and how its helped you. And any other comments associated along those lines are appreciated

ma first expression .. WOW .. i juz feel in love with the logo .. and its amazingggg to see new good old forum in a new crisp shell .. the icons on the top right look superb .. nicely done .. thumbs up to evil

~15:00) Ganon_Master asks Leroy what the countdown is for. Leroy refuses to give any information, but after a lot of guessing from my side, Leroy snaps and tells me all about the phpBB3 conversion.

23:00) I'm at GMT+1. The countdown fooled me into believing that the site was about to open. Been refreshing my browser for half an hour.

23:30) 30 minutes to go....we're still not ready!!!

23:30) Still refreshing my browser...

23:59) We give up trying to hit the target

00:00) Refreshing my browser for an hour now.

01:00) Me and igor take a nap

01:15) I'm at GMT+1, so that means it's 02:15 over here. Been refreshing my browser for more then 2 hours now. I bang my head against the wall, while screaming: "F**k you guys!! I'm never visiting your dumb site again!". With my forehead still hurting, I follow your lead and take a nap as well...

I don't think I'm addicted to phpBBModders.

I am I kept on bothering Anthony and David, and some other ppl, I was actually working, until i saw the countdown, especially towards the end. And even today I was bothering them and Igor to open up the site already

lol yh teh countdown had some problems. all the times were localised which buggered everythign up

I even had several ideas for the countdown, but I forgot that the countdown was going to be yesterday. lol, when that counter was finished, there was already an error on the site. Anthony flew back and put the countdown page back up, yet with out a counter, and it still said counter on it

well it said countdown to what? and then said to wait and had the logo it was good enough lol. i didnt know it'ld have to stay there for another 21 hours ro so

I am working on one of the ideas for the counter now, and another ideas I had was flash. I was thinking of the logo flying up in the air with a spin, then falling completely down until it was gone, and after, it would reload the page, and there would be the new site.

Also, what happened to phpbb3's smileys and junk?
