Chat refreash...

Post by saladin »

OK i understand that the mini chat refreashs the whole page and at this time i want to use that page that was created to add things to top and bottem that cannot be refreashed and at this time if i add anything it does not allow me..

So was curius to find out if there is anyone else that is having this or concern i would say. I LOVE the mod btw so there is nothing bad about it to say. just wanted to ask if there is a way .. this way i can add to somthing else. Iframe? but i am not sure i would want to do that.. i would think to refreash only the div that is doing the chat ?

I have tried to edit the mini-chat page and the templat at seperate times. with just some text ... and when i do the first refresh it comes to will put that text at the bottem of the chat box.. and then then on the refreash does not work any longer. I am not sure if i am just putting in the wrong place but not working.. and if i can get this to work i will not have to go to other ones that i really dislike chats ... Tring to add streams(twitch) to the top of the page and have a unified chat at the bottom but i am not tempting the stream on the top as just putting the text in there has made the refresh no longer function:(

Images are worthless. When your car breaks down do you send a picture of it to your mechanic?

Code: Select all

<!-- IF MCHAT_ARCHIVE_MODE or MCHAT_CUSTOM_PAGE -->
	<!-- INCLUDE overall_header.html -->
<!-- ENDIF -->

    <div>TESTING</div>

<!-- IF MCHAT_ARCHIVE_MODE -->
<!--**

* @package mChat
* @version $Id: mchat_body.html
* @copyright (c) 2010 Rich McGirr
* @license http://opensource.org/licenses/gpl-license.php GNU Public License
*
*/-->
mchat_body.html

Unless there is another place that i can add this to the top of the mini-chat that you know of... without it messing up.. i have tried multiple places to put in simple text and even have tried the streams added in... but as soon as the refresh happens it no longer refresh and the page has the text at the bottem.

(Normally pictures are worth thousand words and the main reason for them is to show what i was tring to accomplish as to see if coding could be thought of before pasting the coding:)

Where was I rude?!! I do happen to work for a living and showing the code you have isn't going to help either. You need to post a link to your forum with the mod active for guests.
