Hmm, thats hard to argue with.
It must be related to something else then. Which in combination with device detection short circuits something.

I had forgotten that it was a special edit from the contrib folder. :$

Are you loading the .js file in the header? You're not loading duplicat copies of it? I'm sure you cleared the cache after your edits... your browser cache also? Check your files and refresh is all I got. Couldn't find the error so reverted the changes. Everything is working as expected now. My err...
