You can put JavaScript src out of the overall_header ,try moving your src file...,as Long as the type is defined your ok

f5 , html and css files
cntrl + f5 , all associated files belonging to a web site ,after changes have been made ...
there really needs to be a command built ,so a web admin forces this change into web browsers .. Its becoming not user friendly...

Control + f5 your web browser and post back ,might be in settings for some browsers to clear cache files..

CSS , a link defined as !important possibly... Overriding San class username or username bold, search your CSS file...

I don't have time too build it for you maybe it would also help if you supplied a link to the custom style...

You will need to modify the mchat_body.html to use your styles template class...
