I wonder if anyone has had this problem before, here's a video to show what's happening:
http://raineyweb.com/misc/video/gzip.webm
I click on the topic called "Highlighted color for soft deleted posts" at this page, and for some reason, it isn't decompressing it on my end and downloads a file called
It only happens in Chrome, though a few months ago it happened in Firefox.
Anyone have any idea what's happening here?
TIA,
Luke

Re: Gzip
No idea, it opens for me just fine. Maybe you have something going on with Chrome?

Re: Gzip
Uninstalled, reinstalled, disabled all addons. Is this site using gzip compression Rich?
Re: Gzip
Some browser especially "chrome" can choke on some mime types ,try a different browser.

Re: Gzip
Nothing's changed on my end (unless Chrome had a stupid silent update), and it's not happening on this site.
So it's the combination of Chrome & phpBB.com & something else.
It's happened to people before with Chrome & Reddit & Avast/other unknowns
How advantageous is gzip compression on phpBB? Is there any way I can compare with and without it?

Re: Gzip
As Gzip is server side there is nothing you can do. Maybe contact Marshalrusty over there and get his thoughts on it.
