Help preventing bot spam: my websites been attacked.

Postby Novation » 30 Jul 2013, 21:59

Hi,

The last week my websites been flooded by bot or human registrations. I cant tell from which they are from,
Most of the registrations have chosen afghanistan as their flag and have been posting pure advertisement on the site.

The question and answer plugin was working fine until lastweek. I even tried to change the Q&A to something else and it didn't help.

Can anyone offer a solution to this problem ?

Ban afghan registrations! Use a php if statement from flag selection and send them home to google

I use this http://rmcgirr83.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3506 and haven't had a spammer register in quite a while even though, according to the logs and emails I get, they try.
