Re: Stop people signup to put adds on your forum
I'm currently using two things to stop spammers: 1. Thoul's Visual Confirmation registration system. This thing truly stops scripts and spammers in their tracks. In my case I use this on a WWE wrestling forum, so during registration the mod displays a random matrix of photos and the user must check ...

Re: The encourage Rich to make channels for mchat thread
I know this is not something that Rich is too interested in, however i have came accross threads where a lot of people are the same as me and think that adding chanels to mchat would make it a lot better... I run a phpBB site (as im sure most visitors here do also). On our site we currently need to...

Re: One more scrolling issue
IE9 Thumbs Down. :) Have read a lot of negative about it. Have you tried Firefox? Yes, but oddly enough I have the same problem with all of them on my site (but I'm the only one having a problem). And the strange thing is that mChat works fine for me here on this site. And Rich can log in as me on ...

Re: One more scrolling issue
I just logged in using wwe.club and was able to post fine. Yep, it works fine for everyone else, but not me. And it doesn't matter if I'm logged in as Admin or a test account. And I have the same problem with all browsers. And yet, your mChat on this site works fine for me. I can't figure it out. I...

Re: One more scrolling issue
Well, here's where I am now. Believe it or not, I am able to post in mChat on my site but it takes about 15 seconds for the post to appear. Is that crazy or what? Also, if I delete a post, after about 15 seconds I get the message "You don't have permission to post on the mChat" and the pos...

Re: One more scrolling issue
Rich, just for your info, switching to the new version of jQuery fixed my problem of not being able to post. Since I was having the posting problem with all the new browsers, others may benefit from knowing this. Also, I'm going to send you a PM about paying you to upgrade my mChat. Thanks as always...

Re: One more scrolling issue
Rich, as you know, I have been trying to figure out why I was having problems with IE9 (pages not loading right, etc) and eventually read that it had many incompatiblities with jQuery. As a result, a new version ...

Re: One more scrolling issue
To add further mystery to this, as I've said, when I post in the chat I have to refresh the page to see it. But when I do that it almost always either takes forever to load, or locks up on a blank screen -- or get this -- the page loads okay but the Google AdSense ads are all blocked. I think my PC ...

Re: One more scrolling issue
This really has me bummed out. Since I'm literally the only person whose shouts go through but don't scroll the chat, it has to be some issue with my PC, right? I even tried restoring my own PC to a point prior to this problem occuring, but it didn't help. I've done the F5 and Cntrl-F5 tricks. I thi...

One more scrolling issue
I searched for this but couldn't find my unique situation. After months of having no problem with mChat 1.3.4, suddenly it works for everyone except me (the Admin). When I post in mChat, it appears as though nothing has happened. The text is still in the edit field. The chat doesn't scroll. However,...

A question about upgrading 1.3.4 to 1.3.5
Rich, I've been using mChat 1.3.4 for a few months now, and over that time I've installed various small add-ons and tweaks for it (I think I found all of them here). I'm wondering if you could offer some advice on the best way to upgrade to 1.3.5 without losing those changes? <!-- s:) --><img src="{...

Chat on this site - can't see it!
Has mChat been removed from the index page or is it just me? I don't see it anymore.

Re: mChat on this site locks up IE8
Nope, same problem. I think the "New Chat Message" was another recent change. Maybe some issue there?
