Re: After upgrade, need to disable 'parsing URL's?

Has anyone been able to figure this out? It has been a royal headache. Basically, I have been able to replace BBcode through phpmyadmin and SQL by (Search/replace string), but for some reason the BBcode does not parse correctly. Thus, I have to re-submit the post itself in order for it to work. Here...

Lose MODS if Upgrade to RC2?

Hi there. I have a question. What method of upgrading should I do? Should I use the automatic updater through the ACP? It seems like that's the best bet when upgrading because you can keep all your modifications? I'm not sure about this. At any rate, any help would be appreciated. What is the best m...

Re: After upgrade, need to disable 'parsing URL's?

Thanks for the post. I still think it's interesting to think about, because I guarantee that other people are facing the same problem if they had BBcode additions in their BB (which a lot of BB's had). If anyone has a script or idea they could share, please post it! I'm at a loss here. <!-- s:) --><...

Re: After upgrade, need to disable 'parsing URL's?

Holy hell that was a massive query! Affected rows: 78611 (Query took 36.0406 sec) That seemed to make those options set to not parsing URL's, but my converted posts still look like this: [gvideo]http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... e+composer[/gvideo] If I go back into that post and re-submit...

Re: After upgrade, need to disable 'parsing URL's?

Hello, D-shadows query should do just that ;) For all future posts, right? I was talking with a developer of phpBB and I mentioned that all my upgraded posts (from phpbb 2) displayed certain BBcode funky (like youtube, etc.) because of that parsing of URL's option. If I went back into the post in p...

Re: After upgrade, need to disable 'parsing URL's?

Thank you. Is there any way to run a query that can update all my posts to be able to not have this in them? Just curious. :)

After upgrade, need to disable 'parsing URL's?

Hi, gang. I have a question. After an upgrade, is there any way I can go into the database and automatically make every archive post NOT parse URL's? I've noticed that even though I created the appropriate bBcode before I upgraded my 2.x installation to 3, it's not displaying properly because phpBB ...
