The changes are all still in local. You have to refresh the template in the ACP after making that change and you don't want to use the ACP to change it. You need to provide a link...trying to help for a local install is just plain impossible.

The problem is all related with totemticker... remove all that code and check if mchat works.

If it those you need to declare var $jQ=jQuery.noConflict(); and put all totemticker $ as $jQ
