First of all, I have rechecked this : https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/view ... l/id_54586
Being sure that everything is in the right place. I found one mistake but fixing it did nothing really.

I have purged the cache, reinstalled and reset the custom style I'm using. And also I took the time to edit the style changes needed for prosilver into the custom one I'm using. (I had to do this for it to show up)

My host has extensive php support, but only one of the extended features of mysql, in phpmyadmin's extended support details. The database has no errors except for a few duplicate entries. The mchat module shows up for signed in users and shows it's loading but doesn't up date the who is chatting list's or send even send chat. The purge, archive, and mchat rules buttons work but none of the others. Sounds also don't seem to play.

I searched around a lot but am forced to post here for some help. I hope this is detailed enough to get a nice direct answer, if you need guests on for mchat please let me know.

Okay I have an update : I got mchat working after simply refreshing the style and reapplying the edits called for in the prosilver style to the one I'm using. Shows up on the index page and all.

Now my only issue is that when you enter text the message adds to the end and doesn't scroll up the chat window. Instead it makes the window larger as you add messages? I added the editor.js to the template but it doesn't fix the issue. Any one have an idea as to what might cause this?

I would like to make the alternating messages different colors as well, any insight to do so would be appreciated. Or just knowing how to edit the text field's appearance and background would be useful.

Thank you! I hope this post becomes useful for someone in the future attempting the same.

I solved the issue, simply forgot to move the mchat.css that was installed into prosilver, over to the theme folder of my custom style. Thanks to the webmaster for this great forum!

Also mchat rocks, thanks to the devs as well.
