Files/blog_mod probably needs to be set as 777 on the directory. As far as the other error goes I've only seen that once and that was due to the version of PHP in use on the forum.

Thanks Rich for the reply! I have the blog mod disabled for now until this weekend when off work. Have been trying to set the permissions to 777 problem is this folder is so large the server is bombing out. So if i can't get past this soon I'll have to contact my host.

got the perm for that directory set to 777 and still getting the same error. When the mod installed it put the blog directory off from the files directory ( /files/blog ) The files directory is used for attachments, and there is over 9,000 attachments in it. Is there a chance this could be a factor?

Is your blog directory named files/blog/ or files/blog_mod/ because your first post error message showed files/blog_mod/
The User Blog Mod does not support PHP versions less than 5.1.0
Have you read the FAQ there is an attachment question maybe related. https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/ ... g_mod/faq/

Sorry snip...its /files/blog_mod. My bad! and yes I had already read that post about attachments not working. My php version is 5.4 and i have to blog mod working great on the test board. Just not on the live site :'(
