mchat_install.php returns error

I have trouble installing mchat v. 1.3.8 on PHPBB 3.0.12 Have used auto mod for instalation.

BTW: other mods have installed without any problems with auto mod so obviously it's problem with mchat.

First step goes ok without any problems, when it comes to second step where additional outside editing starts installation returns error 403 access denied and it stops there with link to mchat_install.php displayed in browser. Have checked file permissions and they're set to 755 so there shouldn't be any problems with permissions to that file.

As you can see everything installed well, but after clicking on external installer in this case mchat_install.php I'm getting blank page and error 403 access denied. Obviously there is something with access to some files, but cannot find anything in that file...

Please help...

Not sure...did you upload the language file into the language of your forum? Do you have an .htaccess file within the root of the forum? Have you in the past installed any mods that require an install file similar to the one within mchat? Last bit of advice would be to contact your host to see if they can find the issue.

Have .htaccess file within the root, beside english language I've only installed offical slovenian language pack for phpbb3... Here's screenshot...

Only mod I'm using is portal and it have used install directory for installation....

Sorry no idea ask your host. They may not allow php based chats.

Just wanted to let you know... it was server restriction... now I've moved site to new server and installed smoothly... Thank you for your help...

...could use little help with custom style on my site...

have edited... stylesheet.css with and added import url... have copied custom mchat.css into theme directory... I'm using Cynthia theme so I've used the one for dark theme...

...and still cannot post anything in mchat...

have created custom account if someone is willing to check and help...

You also have to do the edits to the style as the mod has you do for prosilver. For example you are missing stuffs within overall_header.html. Concerning css stuff, you need to refresh the styles theme in the ACP to get it to load correctly as well as CTRL + F5 your browser to load the css within your browser.

Open the install xml file from the mod in your browser and you will see all the edits that are needed...or if using automod click on the details link of the mod, scroll to the bottom of the page and apply prosilver to your style.

Yes, the mchat download has the install instructions in it.
After extracting the files look for the install.xml file.
Open that file with your web browser.

If you installed mchat with automod for prosilver you can go in automod in your ACP and click Details.
Down at the bottom select - Apply these changes [prosilver] to this template [Cynthia]

YOU HAVE TO REFRESH THE STYLES THEME IN THE ACP

and the mod is working fine.
