Email a friend on registration page

Great board!!! I was wondering if there was a way to invite or email a friend from the registration page.

From the registration page?

You sure about that? Only reason I am asking is because once a user is logged on, they don't get to the registration page. Better would be probably at the top of the forum?

I've already installed the 'invite a friend' mod but unfortunately it is only in the user control panel which I'm not convinced is being used by anyone. I was thinking it might be used if people could do it straight from the registration page. You're idea about the top of the forum page might be better though. Is that possible?
