mchat_lang.php error

On installing my mChat, I kept getting an error message that the en_us/mchat_lang.php could not be read.

Upon looking at the files in my root folder, I saw that there was in fact no such folder. I then copied the folder from en/mchat_lang.php. The mChat was then able successfully be installed...

then....

I got the notice that I had altered the copyright files in these folders and was told to reload them. I did. Got the same message. So currently my mChat is disabled. How do I fix this issue?

You have to do the edits to the language/xx/common.php file as stated in the mod install instructions if your language is not language/en (which yours is language/en_us so make the edits per the install instructions to language/en_us/common.php).

I copied the edits into the common.php as directed.

Please restore the entry for the copyright by editing language/en/mods/mchat_lang.php.
Until you do so, both this mod and your forum will not work unless you uninstall mChat."

BTW... this mod is awesome... especially the way you can go fullpage chat. Everyone on our forum loves it!
