Groups in Team page

Hi Rich,

I’d propose you a MOD that seems to be very difficult to develop. It deals with adding other groups (without permissions moderation) in Team page. On phpBB.com it was abandoned by nickvergessen and [url=http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=1573105]another[/url] seems to have no future (author doesn’t support it for a long time). So, what do you think about it?

This MOD could also be useful to remove a group with permissions from the team page. For example, someone might prefer to remove the administrators group. I had thought about a checkbox in ACP, under “Display group in legend” option to add/remove group in team page.

I know that it's enough give groups the proper permissions to show them in team page, but there’re two problems: not always staff members are moderators and although i give moderation permission they will be shown in the table of the moderators and not in their own.

I think it’s similar to Groups Page MOD, therefore it might be a cakewalk for you.

If I understand correctly, the mod would allow you to add additional groups onto the team page? As if stands now, users are listed within the team group I believe (I don't have enough "team members" to recall).

Is that correct?

This MOD would to add other group blocks in team page. I did a screenshot (with photoshop) to show what I mean:

In the example, the last block (Supporters) doesn’t have moderation permissions.

Do you think this is a feasible MOD?

I said that because I know nickvergessen is a good modder (and he has abandoned), so I thought that perhaps this MOD could create some problems with the phpBB code. But I know also who my favorite modder is, that's why I'm here...!

The phpBB Team is working on something like this for the 3.1 version (due out later this year)
