Alas this may make me pass as a crazy person but the people using my forum like the new posts coming in at the top. Any chance you have a version which includes the notify?
worked mine from [url=http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/mchat_new_version/support/remove_scroll_to_bottom_version_1.3.5-t_90387]here[/url] to reverse the scrolling in mchat.
Now I want to add the notify option.
If you dont wish to put too much effort then could I ask for an uncompressed copy of the code (that includes the notification) and I will perform a lovely file compare and add what is needed where it is needed.
(admittedly i was trying to work it out all on one line but once I got to character 2k i decided to ask for uncompressed)

Do a search here. The way to reverse the scroll is simple and explained on this site.

Sorry Rich. Misunderstood. The same goes for the New Chat Alert BUT the instructions are in the Contrib folder of mChat 1.3.5. Piece of cake too.

No problem Ooopsie.
Jasperman, try the attached and you will have to do the edits as stated in the original topic for new alert stuffs except copy the attached file into the mchat directory overwriting the file that is already there. Once it is uploaded you will have to CTRL + F5 your browser to get the js reloaded into the browser.
Oh yeah and, need I say it, do a backup of the files involved first.
