The Infamous Patio Cats
These 2 kittens showed up on our patio last fall so we decided to adopt them.

Re: Pets?
Just had to take our youngest cat Charlie to the vet because he seems to have had an altercation with a vehicle of some kind.
Bearing in mind that this cat has jumped out of a 30foot high sky light and gotten a nose bleed for his trouble (yeah I know, the bet didn't believe us either!) and then about 2 months later been shot with an air rifle (in the leg) I've realised that worrying is over-rated...
He's in overnight for pain relief and observation with an X-ray scheduled for tomorrow as he's probably got a broken left hind leg but I expect he's already endeared himself to the staff and is relishing the fact that they have heating there...
Oscar on the other hand is our trusty ginger tom who's known locally as the green cross cat because he follows all the rules for crossing the road.. stops, listens, looks, waits.. waits some more... and then saunters across.. Soft as anything..

Re: Pets?
Always had a pet at some stage over the years. Fish, hamsters, canaries, cats and dogs. What we have now, who is over a year old now, is our Jack Russell called Honey Bee (don't ask - blame the kids). Below is a pic when she was a pup. Have to find another when I get the chance. Honey is one very soppy dog although you wouldn't think it when there is a knock at the door and she barks, yelps and growls at it! We was thinking about getting a cat but one of our kids is developmentally delayed (by around 2 years and somewhere on the autistic spectrum scale) and it would probably end up clawing our son as he would torment the poor thing. Luckily, Honey is very loyal.

Re: Pets?
I don't have any. I can just about look after myself and I don't do that very well cause I'm on the net 90% of the time I'm awake lol!

Re: Pets?
Sadly, we rehomed Honey just before we moved to a brand new build eco house exactly a year ago. With Jack Russells, they have a tendency to nip. Honey also had a heart problem so having five kids at home aged between 1 and 10 equals a lot of activity and Honey got over-excited and ended up biting our 7 year old autistic son. Only broke the skin but we decided it would be better if Honey went to another home where the new owners didn't have kids.
Since we moved last year, we now have two tabby cats called Pickle and Lily (geddit?!). And more recently, as a surprise birthday present for me from my wife, a Golden Labrador puppy. Something I've always wanted! Now nearly 10 weeks old and already knows commands like sit, rollover, lay. Right character. As my wife says, Riley must know I'm deaf as he very kindly wakes me up of a morning by deep cleaning my ear hole (niiiice!) where he'll cry at my wife!
