Anyway, phpBB put features in that the community request. They don't overload it with features that the developers want and thus development takes longer. A lot of people have been moaning about development time and the answer to that is real simple, don't use phpBB.
I don't think comparing phpBB with Microsoft was the best idea however.
Noobarmy doesn't like the ACP anymore, but what do you do with all that power that the ACP holds? You'll know if you were running a CVS version earlier last year they had the phpBB2 ACP and the left nav bar was a mile long. It's really simple to use if you take the time to learn it.
A lot of you say its too advanced, well what would you like to see? No Olympus and stay with phpBB2? That option is open should you wish to use it. Olympus is advanced yes, but if you take the time to read the userguide and the plentiful documentation that is provided you'll find out that it isnt really that hard.
