Select same column, different table

Select same column, different table
Ok, I'm trying to select from two different tables, and the columns are named the same, but they don't have the same value. I need to use both of these. How can I select both of these and use them both?
That's like, I can't beat my neighbor in an argument, so instead I kill his dog.
