EDIT: In fact, some of them also added a comment to the top of the file (after <?php), so you would know what mods edited the file by just looking at the top.

I wasn't the one who started it, i stole it from some phpBB2 MOD. I remember a few that had it. Also ptirhiik did so, if i recall correctly.
